Can we get legally married in France?

Foreigners must get have their civil marriage at the town hall of the place where they reside. This can be done before or after the symbolic ceremony we create for you in Europe.

What’s a celebrant?

The celebrant is the person performing the ceremony and will write your vows with you and provide a symbolic marriage certificate as a keepsake. This could be a religious or non-religious celebrant as befits your beliefs.

How long in advance should we start planning?

Typically we start planning an elopement 4-6 months in advance of the ceremony date. Of course we are often contacted up a year or more in advance and that’s fine too. A 15% last minute surcharge may be applied for high season elopements planned in less than 4 months. For example if you sign your contract with us in March for a June elopement. This because most venues and vendors are already booked and instead of doing 2-5 price and availability checks for each element we may have to do 30-50 for each element.

How much do vendors cost?

That depends on what you want. If you want a small bridal bouquet of standard roses and baby’s breath (est. 80€), the cost will be different than a towering floral arch with imported garden roses, ranunculus, rare peonies and no greenery in July (est. 2350€). You might be fine with a local make-up artist who can do make-up and hair for 450€ including test, or you may want my top make-up and hair team from Paris who start at 1800€ each plus travel costs (another 300€+ hotel if needed). We will give you a selection of available vendors for each planning element based on your budget, tastes and the ceremony location. Most vendors, including us, charge a VAT tax of 20% in addition to their fees. You can find a list of vendor starting prices in our elopement brochure.

Can you make our travel arrangements?

Yes, our travel planning department can make all your travel arrangements from the time you arrive in Europe including accommodation, private car service, train bookings, activities, authentic experiences with our vast network of local providers, unique itineraries with all the practical details (like where to park and not get towed) that make or break a trip abroad. Once we have your venue/location selected and the elopement contract signed, we will turn our attention to the travel planning of your trip.

Can you plan our honeymoon?

With pleasure. We design fabulous honeymoons throughout Southern Europe and the best Mediterranean islands like Sicily, Corsica Mallorca, Mykonos, Corfu, as well as Marrakech and Croatia. Have a look at some of our favorite destinations here.

How does the fashion styling work?

We work with the best wedding dress, shoe, accessory designers and dress boutiques in the business. Just have a look at our past photoshoots to see the level of dreamy dresses we deliver. We start with a consultation call to determine your needs, desires and budget for each look. You may want only want styling for the ceremony look or you may want an additional look for your photoshoot and a different look for the dinner. After the consultation, we will send you 5-10 first round options for each element of the look: dress, shoes, accessories, jewelry. Second round of 5 options for each element is included, third round is an additional 150€ per element. Once the selection is made we coordinate purchase, shipping, fittings with the designer. We can also arrange in-person styling sessions in Paris at one of the elegant bridal salons we work with to rent dresses a few days before the ceremony if that is more convenient and allows for multiple dresses.
