When
IS THE BEST TIME TO ELOPE IN A LAVENDER FIELD?
Lavender blooms from late June to August. But it can vary from year to year so we typically plan our lavender events last week of June first week of July to be sure to get the peak bloom. After the second week of July, depending on the location, there’s always the chance that your selected field will be harvested. We recommend evening shoots for the best light and because day time temperatures can easily be over 100F.

TO DO AN ELOPEMENT IN A LAVENDER FIELD?
The best known fields are in Valensole and they are gorgeous. However, they are hours away from hotels, towns and facilities and they are crowded with busloads of tourists in the late afternoon when the light is good. The isolated location means that all vendors like celebrant, make-up artist, photographer, videographer, etc… must be brought in from far away and stay at a hotel nearby at your expense. We prefer the fields in the Sault or Drôme regions because it’s not as hot as Valensole and you might have the fields to yourself if you know where to find them. I use Google maps in terrain mode and look for the rows of lavender and drones for arial views.
